P40 Covert Shooting Evaluation
by Massad Ayoob

The first shot had an excellent cluster with the last four shots, but had thrown the first shot low left. For the second target, I loaded all six in the extended magazine and fired the first into the backstop just to cycle the gun, so it would be in battery the same way for all five shots. These where fired sitting, two-hand bench rest, no sandbag or pistol rest. The group speaks for itself.

This is good or better than I've shot with a Kahr. All we could get was 50 feet. Before, my personal best with a Kahr was a 1 3/8" group with a K9 (Federal 9BP 115 gr JHP ammo) at 25 yards. The enclosed extrapolates, I think, to about a 1.125" group at 25.

The ammo was Black Hills EXP, a 165 grain Gold Dot JHP loaded to a hot 1150 fps and to match standards.
